Larklands ARC - Ilkeston - superb body shop
Discussion
i'm known to moan and groan but when things go well i'm more than happy to give praise
Larklands Accident Repair Centre Ltd - Ilkeston, Derbys
had to get them involved after a disastrous Range Rover 'facelift' conversion done by 'a n other'!
basically the car had been 'butchered' - loose bumper/ill fitting panels etc etc
they were recommended to me by Stratstone, Nottm as their approved Land Rover body shop
despite the work not having been done by them they worked tirelessly to correct things at a reasonable cost - they could have charged for new wings/cross member - the conversion was that bad!!
all sorted and i would recommend them to anyone
contact Rob Severn - bodyshop manager

the bodywork is sorted - now the car has to go to Stratstones next wednesday to get the headlight washers corrected - the headlight washers 'wash' the whole of the bonnet because pressure is too high?- but the windscreen washers have an 'incontinent' dribble!!
also photo's show wood screws used on the fixing of the new 'high pressure' headlight washer pump!

quick update
car just been brought back - superb job
all panels are so tight fitting that even a gnat could not get between them! - bumper is rock solid you could tap dance on it!
and a 'work' folder that must be 1/4" thick - pre/during/after photographs
full Range Rover work sheets giving tolerances/process etc etc - even down to sequence of operations/torque of nuts etc etc
when all is hopefully resolved i'll 'publish' photo's etc - might be of interest to those contemplating a 'facelift'
i think my car must be one of very few that have now had a 'facelift' done by a Land Rover approved body shop and the 'factory' specs?
