Another - What did I See?

Last night there was a convoy of Range Rovers and minibuses/vans with blue lights and motorcycle escort going east down the A40 just past Hangar Lane.
'Someone important just arrived at Northolt' I thought.
Then I saw the same convoy tonight eastbound on the M40 near High Wycombe.
Any suggestions?

A friend of mine lives near there. Encountered a simiar convoy once as he came over the crest on a road except one of the Range Rovers was on his side of the road. It flashed him to move (not that he had anywhere to go) and ended up slipping back into convoy. The lot were doing nearly 100mph.
I see these on a regular basis blatting along Lower Thames Street. I think they transport military / military connected types about for such things as COBRA meetings etc. About 75% of the time they also have police motorcycle outriders blocking the traffic lights so there is no need for them to stop.

You quite often see the big wigs being ferried about over here. Great big black SUV's, with Merc's and BMW's as escorts, with local police blocking off local traffic as they go through, lights flashing like crazy, and flags on the wings. lol.
