Secret handshake (getting in with no power!)

Like a plum I didn't have my battery conditioner hooked up to my Griff and now I can't get in it!
Can anyone give me some clues on the "technique" to get in (by email if preferred)?
I've had a read through the handbook but there's nothing to help in there from what I can see. I also think I've looked in "the place" that I think is the secret place and found nothing
