A question for you knowledgable guys. Can the laser-cameras read the old black & white number plates on a slightly curved surface, like I have on my 1964 Cooper 'S' bonnet?

Yes, because its a human operator that reviews the video tape! The laser itself needs to be aimed at somethinf fairly flat and upright in order to get your speed, though.

The laser camera simply reads the speed of the car, thats it.

If Mr trafpol is holding said device then he will probably stop you & have a word.

If its the SCP's then they'll view the video tape of the day record every reg number in the video & send a nip to everyone saying they have exceeded the speed limit by 2mph

Quite probably, they use ir illuminators & I should imaging the image seen by the camera unit would give a readable image under ir light.

Bare metal figures... and instead of paint on the black areas, have bare metal covered with that black stuff that Playstation CDs are made of.
