Having left the protective bubble of Stoke, I'm spending most of my time with the OH in Willenhall now.

Whereabouts in Stoke and whereabouts in Walsall? I'm very familiar with that whole stretch of M6 by now it's perfect for the 330d but I suspect less so for the Exige... although considerably more fun if you take the A roads instead!

Yup as Daz says, Wednsebury is junction 9 one by IKEA/B&Q, then you've got Darlaston after it, then Wednesfield 10 mins away from there, on the way to Wolverhampton.
