Discussion
I am asking on behalf of a mate here.
He has an analogue telly, analogue video a DVD and a Freeview box.
He can watch digital TV stations OK and record and playback analogue TV (but only for another couple of days when the area goes fully digital).
He can also watch the (non recordable type) DVD. All this is accomplished with a veritable birds nest of co-ax and scart leads.
What he cannot do is to record/playback digital TV.
Is there a way to connect things to do this? I remember that before we went for a new setup with a hard drive etc: I also couldn't record digital programs on my VCR, only analogue.
If it were me I would dump the lot and buy new, but he is retired and has limited money so I am trying to help him out.
