A lot of scorn poured over Will.i.Am's car and to be frank it is not my cup of tea. However, I think a lot of cars look best in context.

For example an MGB would be great for arriving outside a country pub, but look out of place pulling up outside a nightclub in Miami. I can see the attraction in zooming round in a Renault 5 in the Dordogne in summer, but on a rainy day in Balham you simply look poor. Custom T in California superb. In Hereford not so much.

What I am saying is, people find a car they like and that looks superb in its own era or environment then they take it into their own environment and the whole scenario falls flat on its face.

Maybe, I get so much positive attention when I'm my 5 gtt. People have parked up and run across the road to speak with me about it.

On the other hand u do get the looks of disgust from some people as I drive through the high street and people have no idea what it is.

Range Rover classic.

Drive it/park it anywhere.

Taste personified.

Thats cause they think your a tt, making a noise, tishing your dump valve up and down the high street biggrin

Not meant in offence. These people need to be educated. Had many the same reaction to my old Uno Turbos, also got loads of positive reactions to them too!

Yes, their financed washing machine stbox focus may be quiet and comfy, but I'm having a hell of a lot more fun!

It's not blue with a yellow interior and you go about singing "Ali in the High Street! I say Ali in the High Street! Bo!"?

When Harley Earl designed this Le sabre concept in 1951, he had better have imagined he was going to be pulling into a space-age drive-through on the Jetsons' set for it to look even vaguely relevant. wink A leafy country lane would have been far too dated.

Not sure. Park it in a rural town and you look like a dirty farmer. Park it in a city and you'll get attacked by ecomunchers.

I never had problems parking my MGB outside the nightclub I worked at. That's the beauty of the B you she didn't look out of place at a posh golf club or Aldi carpark, on the school run or groom transport to a wedding a classic for all occasions.

Yeah, when I had mine 99% of people just thought it was an old Range Rover and I couldn't afford a new one.

I thought, and the cognoscenti think, they are taste personified, but the majority of people think they are old wrecks.

I do miss mine:
