Is it just me or does the lack of any significant detail within the sellers advert really annoy you? For example i am currently contemplating an MG ZS and found this example advertised local to me.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-MG-ZS-RED-2-5-V6-18...

This car was originally advertised as a facelift version, which clearly it is not, the advert was altered once i had pointed this out to the seller.

I also asked the seller for details of the car, the response being, all details are in the listing.

So, how many of you would be willing to purchase this car based on the advert?

Can't see the ad on this computer but it irritates me when there is a lack of information in general. I can accept a mistake or one thing being overlooked but some ads are as though they actually don't want to sell it.

means the owner doesnt know about it and is too lazy to research it. probably means they are too lazy to get it fixed or looked after too. genuine reason for sale? yeah, its probably genuinely broken...

or, the car's in Devon, it's his parents car, so he doesn't have all the details to hand?

Ask him for his telephone number and give him a call, if you want the car enough. Lazy advert though.

Would have thought it easy to advertise your own parents car correctly. After all, if they have asked you to advertise it for sale on there behalf, the least they could do would be to give you all the details of the car.

All that jazz

Ebay trader ads are the worst for it I find. Often no pics and they just tick the spec boxes like rear seat belts and rear wash wipe, and then post the ad. Never any mention of the bodywork condition or important stuff like that. rolleyes

I ignored the Golf I recently bought for about 3 weeks because of the 1 line "description". After exhausting all other options locally I decided to ring the guy and find out some info about it. As it turned out it was a highish spec model which wasn't mentioned in the ad and also some other important stuff which would have greatly improved the interest in his ad if he'd listed it. rolleyes
