iPod connection

Hi people,

Having trouble getting sound from my iPod using the connector in the glovebox and the aux function on the command unit. Thye car is a Dec 2006 CLS 500. Anyone able to advise what I need to do to get seme sound out of the ipod.

What is happening when you try, does it work at all?

Sometimes with the AUX input you need to turn up the volume quite high to get sound out.

Hi, nothing happens, iPod plays but no sound from the speakers... goes off to crank up the volume

Have you tried the lead you are using on another piece if equipment? Just to eliminate it being faulty.

As already mentioned the AUX does need to be turned up loud to work but if I remember correctly there is also a separate AUX volume in one of the settings menus. I cannot remember where to look as it's a while since I used a car with the older Comand unit.
