can someone explain the logic behind some classified ads on PH, ebay and scumtree

why do people put a car up and then put not this not not that after it

ie - vw Golf for sale, not audi, not seat, not ford, etc etc

really winds me up when searching for a particular car and some random st heap chav mobile pops up

then when you search for any of the "not" cars this listing will also come up. its a fecking irritating technique often used on ebay, and puts me right off buying it!

just put "-not" in your search to exclude them then

Which would also exclude loads of legitimate adverts which happen to use that phrase, so its not viable really is it.
