Yep, I was quite surprised.

I normally get 23-24mpg out of my RRS, so I thought I'd set myself a little challenge on my weekend jaunt up to the Peak District this weekend.

Gloucester -> Hathersage, Friday afternoon traffic and I managed 31.9mpg. Even after driving around the Peaks, visiting crags, climbers cafes, etc... and then the journey back home, the computer was telling me that I averaged 29.4mpg... And I wasn't even driving like Miss Daisy either!

Anyway, I'm sure normal service will be resumed in the morning. wink

They are aiming for 40mpg out of the new FFRR when its launched later this year. I'd be amazed if they manage to average 40mpg frmo a tank though.

I've managed 31mpg crushing along at 65mph on the motorway from Gloucester to London once...god it was boring. Now I usually stick it at 75mph amd get 26/27mpg which isn't bad really.
