CD Autochanger Problem

When trying to eject some CD's from the autochanger, it displayed '"Deck Error" and refused to eject the disc.

It let me remove 2 of the 6, and the others play fine, but the remaining 4 are now stuck in the player.

Anyone else seen this and what was the solution?

When I got my car I had problems ejecting any disk (it actually was missing the slot when it tried to push the CD out). The only solution that the dealer had was complete removal and send it off to be fixed. The claimed I would get the CD back, but luckily I managed to get my CD out and then let them replace it.

Hi Jay, did your unit still play the discs that were in it? Also were all 6 unable to be ejected?

Yes, the discs played and it had a problem with every disc.

I pretty sure that no matter what the problem, they send the whole unit out to be fixed (or replace it with a new/refurbished unit).

Does anyone know if the autochanger unit is Volvo sourced, like the sat nav?

AM part number is 9G43-37-11015 by the look of it.

Interestingly that's the same part number as the 09MY Vantage.
