Thule roofbox help
Discussion
Folks, i'm off to France on Saturday and have just picked up my roofbox that i had loaned out to a friend and one of the locks is knackered rendering the box unusable. It isn't the lock itself (as i've removed it) but the sliding mechanism inside it that appears to be jammed.
Can anyone recommend a place that these can be fixed?
Alternatively does anyone want to loan (i.e. rent) me one for the first fortnight in July. Happy to leave the full cash value of the box for the duration i have it and i can guarantee it will come back unmarked as i have OCD with other peoples kit!
Thanks
Paul
P.S. I am Edinburgh based.

Is there no way that you can put a couple of bolts through it, from the inside to the outside, and then put a clamp on with a padlock?
Sadly not - the box is open at the side that the locks are knackered on so cannot be properly closed. Worst case i could chop off the stems that go into the lock i supposed and drill through and use a couple of padlocks. But i'd rather just get it fixed properly (see previous OCD comment
). Paul, I got my bike carrier and roof bars from a place just off the A71 in Livingston.

might be worth phoning them and seeing if they can help / suggest anything?
