Just a heads up - I was passing thru Stratford on Avon at the weekend
and noticed signs that the Olympic Torch is passing thru and all around the Stratford on Avon area on Sunday 1st July.

Does that mean Alan that Stratford will be grid locked at a certain time for all us Wedgers travelling through.

If you are travelling through Stratford upon avon on Sunday then you may get held up. Looking at the proposed torch route, anyone travelling north towards the M40 or south to the same should miss it. Heading west to the M5 on Sunday lunch tme may get caught up in the crowds

I have already checked the detailed torch route and it doesn't get close enough to Ettington to cause any problems.

The weird thing is that on the 7th it goes past my gaff - like it's following me around the country...

Some roads in the centre of Stratford are closed on Sunday and it looks like it is also going through some villages to the South and West of Straford at various points in the day. Hopefully the main roads shouldn't be too bad.

We went into Stratford and saw the torch (I thought a few hours detox was a good idea before the drive home!) If its on the telly I am standing to the right of Shakespeare's house. There was also a boat show on the river - triffic!

I went into Stratford on Saturday afternoon to refuel the bike (and me biggrin)) and the place was heaving, I wouldn't have gone anywhere near it today! I thought my left wrist was going to break due to the amount of clutch action it got...
