Ebay auction ID 120938854135 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stig-used-Alpine-Starts-...

Even if its not genuine that's a damn good price for the kit.

Ben Collins is from Bristol, maybe the reason for non collection?

Not a good price if the kit's out of date, it's seven years old. I had to buy new gloves and boots this year (£150 iirc) and a suit + helmet (£450 + £600) last year. The suit looks like it might have the right code but I'd want to make sure it's not a counterfeit. Finding out while the car's burning isn't a good option.

Also I'd never recommend buying a used helmet, you can never be sure it hasn't been dropped or involved in an accident.

I would suggest this be bought purely as a stig look-a-like suit, not as equipment for race/track use...

As others have said above, buying second hand safety gear is a minefield - you'd be better buying new from a reputable retailer.

He's actually from Clifton, which ties in perfectly

Doubt it's 'Stig used' considering the Stig suit has 'Stig' stitched into the velcro strap in the middle of the suit.

Think it does anyway.

I can't find any evidence of this, can you find anything photographic? Im really thinking about buying - PMed the guy and he confirms its never been dropped or even used more than once.

Does seem a bit on the large side to be used by Collins.

But, as with all safety gear, if you can prove it's in date and hasn't been abused, it might make a decent buy. Just ensure you go in with your eyes open.

You could always be a stunt double, opening shopping centres and stuff.

He is just over 6' which makes this correct.

See the Tom Cruise photo below but that's only on the last series he did.

I thought I added the link as well, on here - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13076... second photo has white, but still the embroidered Stig.
