I've travelled into your area this week, it would appear that "the powers that be" are lowering the speed limit on the M4 Westbound approx 1/2 mile prior to the tolls at the end of the Second Severn Crossing.

I've seen a sign (covered) with a non NSL sign on it, and then a NSL sign just after the tolls.

Keep an eye out and your speed down, we've all seen the SCam van on the bridge just by there.

Oh no! It's in case you run over any children, they have more of a chance at 50 rather than 70.

Just to confirm, it is now 50mph. Passed that way Thurs and Sat.

Presume its to get traffic to check their speed before the tolls,,,, so no more sliding up to the booths wheels locked pit-stop-style, shucks.

Can still floor it on the way out though, just to give everyone a treat

Came across the bridge myself on Sunday. Cruised up to the booth, paid my fare, took my change, barrier up, foot to the floor and took off! Woohoo! lol. The booths provide a nice bit of echo for tyre screech as you take off from the concrete standing. Wasnt acting like a tool or anything, just getting on my way as quick as possible! Got some admiring looks from a Modded Vectra full of attractive girl racers too..... which was nice!
