Eh...? Aren't they 4WD...? Must have taken a serious bit of throwing to attain that angle...!

Surely the driver just found out how much Renault wanted to overcharge for battery rental and realised they could run a smart ForTwo for less money.

Have you actually bothered to do the maths before trying to be a smart arse?

I did.

A) You're not comparing apples with apples

B) Pretty much every post I see from you you're an expert on the subject

Why would anyone ever want to compare an apple to an apple. But comparing a cheap to run budget 2 seat city car, with a supposed cheap to run budget 2 seat city car would seem perfectly logically.

No, opinionated. It's rather different. wink

That said, do you actually dispute the maths, numbers and facts? You don't need to be an expert to see one number is bigger than another number.

I tried on a dry track without sucess. First time in a while I've driven a near car without any power assistance to the steering - you could actually feel the degree of understeer for once!

Not at all, the average Twizy buyer doesn't look at a Smart car though. In my experience they've got a Prius/Honda Civic IME or G-Wizz (shudder). They're a different type of customer all together smile

How do you know? Do you work for Renault or a data collection agency? Honestly curious smile

Maybe I honestly don't know. That said, I can see some logic to comparing to 'similar' cars for a similar intended use.

But certainly not proclaiming to be an expert smile

I sell Renault cars and vans in the fleet sector.

Oh and one of my customers can provoke lift off oversteer in the wet, but you do have to be brutal with it biggrin

Cool.

Well with your inside knowledge, is the battery hire coming down in price? wink

I ask as I'd seriously have considered one as a station car, but the cost is to prohibitive to make sense financially.

Didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. Drove one for roughly 15 mins knocking two bars off the battery, iirc it had 10

To be fair, I reckon I could power oversteer a pedal go-kart on the wet handling circles at MIRA

Not as far as I'm aware, I'm not sure if the cost will come down as more get out on the road though. Part of the cost is taken up by the fact that the battery has a life time warranty
