I've heard that if you give your car to a detailer with a gazebo they can return the favour and make a trip to the bodyshop a necessity!FFS!

What you have there my friend is buffer trails. It's from using an cutting polish/pad and either not refining it or going over it with a less abrasive combo to remove them.

Is it a quick job to put right? It'll mean a trip to Manchester which I'll begrudgingly do if they can do it while I wait (for a short time)!
Interesting effect, it must have took them years of practice! My son put his Z4 into a BMW paint shop for some work after somebody ran into the rear of it. It came out similarly swirled, and when he pointed them out their reply was that all of their cars looked like that, he said he wanted it restored to the condition it was before the accident ( ie detailed) and they didn't even know what "being detailed" meant.
So bodyshops must put the rough coat on and detailers finish them properly!

d thing either!I got my damage repaired by an approved bodyshop, they caused new damage to the car, they eventually fixed that after months of trying to get them to sort it.
Then they removed the rear bumper and repaired it, the 1/4 panel adjacent to the bumper now has the laquer peeling off it. They said it was probably caused by a previous dodgy repair (no evidence of that anywhere though) and was nothing to do with them. I was told to get some wet and dry, flat it down and wax it and that would be OK !!!!
Is the problem that these 'approved bodyshops' are one day fixing a Corsa (no offence to Corsa owners) and the next day fixing a £100k Aston, do they differentiate between the cars and our expectations, although having said that if I had a Corsa I still wouldn't be happy with the standard of work these days.
