Its All over for the TYPHON!!!!
Discussion
Why in gods name don't they ditch the sequential box and team up with the clutchless gearbox people and use this system to modify the standard box as used on the 440R racer. I assume it can take the load, and the clutchless shift should give changes to match the engines capacity.

It makes perfect sense to me...
Imagine the launch of the first production cars....
"Peter Wheelers brainchild with the Russian owners financing - Sagaris & Typhon....
Usual inherent reliability problems, known about prior to launch"
This would not look good for the new owner...
However -
"Peter Wheelers brainchild with the Russian owners financing - Sagaris & Typhon....
Reliability problems have now been fixed..Gear box and drive issues known about during development have been totally sorted with the resource and cash injection provided by the new Russian owner....TVR Quality on the UP"
What better could Our Russian owner want...?

I think this has been brewing for a while.
When I asked a dealer about the Typhon in May I was told the factory had indicated
it would be put to one side for the focus to be on the current range, the Sagaris and
another 'new' car which was revealed as the Tuscan 2.
I am sure those with orders will get their cars, maybe a little delayed, but they could
quickly become collectors items as I don't personally think the production run will last long.
Hope I'm wrong.

I'm not sure the Sagaris or Typhon were actually in production to start with. I think the first Sagaris demonstrators were being built but the customer cars not until the Autumn. It maybe that they are just telling us what's going on for a change
I heard the delays to the Typhon up until now were down to the getting the engine output mapped to take into account the available cooling in situ - i.e. it was getting too hot under the bonnet!
Cheers,
Andy.

AFAIK all Tivs have always struggled with underbonnet temperatures
. Seriously though, tenious link here.... how the feck have porche managed to control their temps given the cramped out of the way place they put their engine. harry

I was told at the motor show it was being delayed due to cooling problems?
I was told that the Typhon was being delayed because of a sponsorship deal for that model being agreed with a major producer of a well known hot drink.
As a result the badges are having to be re-engineered to remove the 'n' and replace with another 'o'.......
I do apologise, I'm sure it's the medication.
