There's a post on the Top Gear website saying they checked with Aston Martin, who confirmed the Vanquish will not be in Skyfall. The Skyfall colour is there just as a link between Aston and Bond.

Well I know for a fact that there'll be a new Army WILDCAT helicopter in it... I know because a colleague of mine was flying it for the filming!

They were filming near Hankley Common golf course for about four weeks, from memory, in Feruaary/March. There were two helicopters some of the time.

It quite disturbed the tranquility!

Doesn't the release date of the film conincide with the facelift of the Ford Fiesta....

On a recent visit to the factory I asked the question as to whether an Aston has a place in the new Bond Epic; I was told sadly no, other than a brief couple of showings of The DB5. I would assume that due to budget restraints the film makers needed the big bucks that Bentley were prepared to offer. Interestingly Aston Martin have never paid to have our cars featured in any of the Bond films.
I am looking forward to seeing Skyfall. A part of me is hoping that the new Vanquish will feature in it. If it does I for one will jump up and cheer in the Cinema. Probably start singing as well. Chris would be so proud of his Dad!

Just to clear up a little confusion...
007 is not driving a Bentley!!!!!

This rumour has come about because he drove one in the last book. Nothing to do with the film franchise!
Bond remains a loyal Aston Martin driver!!

As long as you don't count donating a couple dozen cars for free to be destroyed by the studios as a payment of sorts.

Quite! I remember for Goldeneye, the production company asked for £1M to feature the DB7 as his car. Aston/Ford declined and BMW leapt in and manages to make the utterly awful Z3 instantly cool! Aston didn't get a look in until the Vanquish and BMW got a lot of exposure - that cool bike in Tomorrow Never Dies...

Always laugh to see him race Famke Jannsen in her F355 and him in the DB5. Aston die-hard or not, there would only be one winner there

Come come! Yeti where is your brand loyalty? I do take your point though. The F355 was being driven by a Woman which did give our James a bit of an advantage. I thought he did really well up against the remote controlled model helicopter, or was that another film?
