Italeri are releasing what looks to be a half decent Sunderland:

Been keeping an eye on this ever since I built the Airfix one - seems to be a lot of potential for detailling.

It's about two years since they first announced this. MPM were also supposed to bne releasing a Sunderland too - I wonder is it a cooperation - like their Hudson was?

Yeah, a couple in the pipeline for ages, but the Italeri version should be available in the next couple of months apparently.

It's a Mark I if I recall as well - so compliments the (ancient) Airfix version rather than replaces it.
