..........if you discount having a 1968 MGB GT in pieces for over the past 15 years, occured this afternoon when I handied the readies over for this little baby :

er.............I don't know, it was re-sprayed about 20 years ago in California, it was originally a brilliant red before that.
I'm thinking that I'll have a years fun with it, then get a few little jobs doen over the winter after next, including the rear wheel arches, then think about a re-spray back to original.

Lovely. Congrats on your new acquisition. I too am new to the world of classic cars, but have a '68 Mustang Fastback arriving in July. It's currently being restored (and discretely modified) by a company in Devon. Your photos have just increased my levels of anticipation...

Will definitely post photos once the car is finished - hopefully July, but may slip into August. It will have a new 302ci small block from "Mustangs To Fear" in the US, new exhaust, brakes, steering and suspension (lowered very slightly), leather interior (but otherwise stock), and a beautiful set of 17" Boyd Coddington wheels (although I'm having trouble sourcing these). Colour will be metallic grey. No Shelby stripes or scoops, and definitely not an "Eleanor" re-creation. Can't wait...
