I don't think there are any but RNAS Yeovilton, (I think), have a flying one.

Well it was definitely a sea vixen i know the yanks still have a few just not sure about RAF,Sure eric will sort this out

None are in "active" service with the RN. I know of one flyable in the uk which recently had a hard landing after having landing gear failure, it may have been a test/checkout flight for that one.

If there is more than one out there I don't know where it is based.

I'd be amazed if even any tin pot nation still actively flies them.

The Sea Vixen was only used by the FAA, I'm not sure whether XP924 has been repaired following her undercarriage collapse in April.

Are you sure you're thinking of the Sea Vixen? Neither the Yanks nor the RAF ever had any.

There is but one Sea Vixen in airworthy condition in the world. It is owned privately and kept in airworthy condition at Bournemouth. It was damaged earlier this year when its nosewheel folded on landing and was under repair since then. You may have seen it out on a post repair test flight although it seems a long way from Bournemouth. Was it perhaps a Venom?

The Sea Vixen was only ever used operationally by the Royal Navy and was withdrawn from active service in 1972.

A couple were used for test work at places like the RAE Farnborough and the A & AEE at Boscombe Down. A number were converted into target drones but the programme was cancelled before they were put to this use, The last active Sea Vixens were these drones. I saw one at RAF Valley in 1983.
