Seen this colour leather advertised a few times. Is it really as bright as it appears in the photo, or as with other reds does it just photograph very bright?

True... to an extent. With the door cards as well though, I thought it may get a bit much, hence wondering whether it would be more "toned down" in the flesh, ie. the flash maybe made it look a little brighter than it was (which it has done when I've seen other cars' red leather in photos before).

Incidentally, do xenons come as standard on an ST220? I thought they did, but the spec listing on Autotrader for a "2005 Ford Mondeo 3.0 V6 ST220 5DR " says halogen headlights.

No, it's not. Looks great in real life.

I'd happily swap my black leather for red.

I was put off by the photos of my car before I saw it, but the red looks great in the flesh (and not as garish as that photo). Certainly helps to offset the dullness of a silver exterior.

I'm guessing it's a built in optional child booster seat. Someone had an e39 Touring with the same looking thing in it on Readers Cars a while back.

I've got the same leather in my Focus. It doesn't photograph well but looks ace in the flesh. Much deeper and darker.

I love mine.

The red is very bright in the ST220. Some people love it like that.

Bought it! Yes it is a bit bright but the o/h is only young and loves it. Looks a really good contrast.

It'll be so the people in the back can listen to a different source of media if they want (I think)
I have the screens in the back pf my seats but don't have that LCD panel, just ports to plug earphones in.

Those booster seats look like they are lifted straight from the Volvos of similar vintage (no surprise, really).

Incidentally, what is the LCD panel in the centre arm-rest for? Rear seat entertainment or aircon?
RSE - Rear Seat Entertainment. Allows headphone use for the stereo.

I have heated rear seats instead..
