Might be more likely to be a Z16XE? Either way the manual will confirm.

05 astra sxi should be a twinport 105ps/150Nm ecotec

z16xep

later 1.6's had 10ps more

link below should help ... online handbooks

z18xer is a 1.8 vvt from a later model year

Twinport is written in the handbook so does that means its the 105 not the 115?
Trying to find if its due a cambelt. Z16XE states 60k miles/6years, Z16XEP states 100k miles/10 years.

It seems that depending on engine type the water pump is either run by an aux belt or not.

Go to a vauxhall dealer, prefferabley the one who supplied it new, but any one will do.

Give them the VIN number, ask them to look on GM Global Connect. It will list all the details down to what time it rolled off the line, and what time it rolled of the transporter.

If its an Astra H then it will be Z16XEP, the P denoting the fact it is Twinport.
