Something raw and simple like an Exige. I couldn't even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to fix something that had electronically-controlled-everything.
Cars now have so much technology I reckon many will just be too uneconomical to fix and will just be scrapped.
i'm not so sure. we were saying that about cars like mine when they first came out. now they're pretty easy to work on. i reckon (or hope) it'll be the same in the future for cars of today.Cars now have so much technology I reckon many will just be too uneconomical to fix and will just be scrapped.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think that's a "new car"
Im not sure anything modern would be saveable after a period out of use.
A mechanic friend of mine recently dragged an 02 plate Passat out of a garage that has not been started or used for 4 years. Everything on it is seized solid! He was hoping to save it as its only done 16,000 miles but its only fit for scrap apparently!

I'd like to barn find an entirely unmoddified GT86.
Also an Exige S.
I was going to suggest the GT86 myself for the same reason. I bet there will not be many left that haven't been unmolested. Also an Exige S.
I think a good pre hatchback unmodified STi would be a nice find in a good few years.
