Took a mate up to the local BMW/MINI dealer to pick up his car (R56 07 Cooper) after repairs (and then back again as it started misbehaving again...) and noticed that the rest of the MINI range, Hatch, Clubman, Cabriolet etc have joined the Coupe, Roadster and Countryman in having OEM flat wiper arms, ie with no hooks, allowing for fitment of flat blades without the need for those huge, and hideous adapters to go over the hooks.

My mate said a while ago that he wanted some flat blades, but wasn't sure after I pointed out the hook adapters, but his blades have now started to split.

My questions are:

A. Where can you get a pair of the new flat arms and blades without going to BMW? (they wanted £46 just for a set of normal blades)

B. Would arms from the Coupe/Roadster fit if they appear on eBay/at a scrap yard first?

To illustrate my point, see the new Clubvan...

Yes but the OP wants to avoid the huge protruding adapter, and I can understand why, it looks quite weird.

Luckily with my old Megane, facelift cars had been around for a couple of years and so there were a few dead examples in scrap yards. £15 for a pair off one in Northern Ireland, job jobbed.

(I later had its glovebox, Gear Knob and Head Unit.)

Your mate really needs to get a PH account, you post an awful lot on his behalf.

Look up the part number on RealOEM and order a set from BMW? Should be able to buy them without the wiper blades.

Cheers Alex, can't find wipers though, and the only LCI model there is the R58 Coupe, as far as I can see, those would be too big... scratchchin
