If I create a forum post I can be notified of replies..

However if I reply to a post I can see where I tick to get notifications for the thread.

Can anybody help?

You can't.

However, you can click on the "Watch" link at the top of the thread to have it appear in your "My Topics" list (as opposed to just "My Replies"), or "Bookmark" to have it appear in your list of bookmarks.

The difference between which has always escaped me.

(All three of those appear under the My Info menu option at the top, under the sub heading My Contributions - all Bookmarks also gets its own subheading as well as appearing in Contributions. Again, for no apparent reason that I can discern.)

Watching & bookmarking confuses me so to make sure i read what i want to i have got into the habit of 'Watch'ing AND 'Bookmark'ing the thread. Clicking My Stuff at the bottom of any thread pulls up all threads i had an interest in

NOTE that clicking on the My Info ---> Bookmarks drop-down is not the same as My Stuff at end of a thread. Drop-down Bookmarks takes forEVER to load up if you are a thread-hoarder such as myself! smile

Are Watched topics the same as My Stuff?

Clicking on "watch" will add the topic to "my stuff"
When someone replies to one of the threads you have posted on, or are watching it will appear in the list when you click on my stuff. As far as I'm aware things you've bookmarked don't.
