Who has the highest mileage Noble?

As per the title, who has the highest mileage M12 or M400? Has anyone done over 70K and if so what higher mileage related issues have you had if any?

Mine apparently did 26k without anything major being replaced, but it's turning into a bit of a trigger's broom now ETA: at 39,000 miles

My chassis, wheels, seats and dashboard should get to 70k

I think Jools has the record - his was over 120k IIRC when he sold it.

Mind you he used to "commute" to Paris it in for quite a while!

mine got to 2000 miles once without me taking it apart.

2005 M400 ,33,000 miles,all known issues sorted, not had any majors.

2.5 GTO, 54,000 miles, only major issue was ECU at about 40,000. Still runs like a dream and looks better now than when I bought it. Currently up for sale with Autofficina.

But Coolchris will romp home with 70,000 plus shortly I'm sure

i think coolchris has gone passed 70k now. still on his original clutch too. but this is purely down to the fact he drives like a grandma. lol

Indeed i have :-) is 70k deemed high mileage then? And whats the general perception of how a higher mileage impacts on residual value?

70k would appear to be up there, and will probably have an impact on value.

Buying on condition and work done is generally advocated though.

Don't let it put you off though Ant - it was nearly a year ago so uplift the mileages, and go on condition etc.

+ 1 ...so long as the high mileage is reflected in the price and it is well looked after it should be sweet.

Do you think it better to steer clear of tuning on an engine thats covered such mileage? Only fairly light tuning, no headwork or changing turbos / internals?

Depends on how the engine has been used/looked after really - it needs to be in good overall condition, obviously, and not burning oil etc, but it will probably be fine for a bit of tweaking. Worth an inspection if you can get one done though.

Is it a 2.5 or a 3.0?

Either way, it will probably be quick enough to keep you happy for a good while anyway.

It's a 3.0. I would keep it stock but some tinkering would be inevitable :-)
