Look at the link though, more than dust there...but yes, the Ferrari's above are merely dusty and not much else.

Perversely I like seeing abandoned car pictures, I always wonder how they came to be parked for the last time.

I'm not great with my classic cars, is that a 300SL?

It looks great cloud9 as long as that car is mechanically sound, I have no gripes with it looking like a nakered rust bucket.

I suspect those ferrari's are some of the many expensive cars abandoned in dubai due to their bankruptcy laws.

That Ferrari pic is from UAE where like many Arab states it is illegal to be in debt that you cannont pay off. So people who get into this situation flee the country before the banks get wind of it resulting in a number of these cars being abandoned then auctioned off by the police who sieze them after a while. There was a thread a while ago about an abandoned Enzo getting auctioned off.

Colossal amount of glorious (but sha99ed) old cars in Cuba. Unfortunately many doomed to stay that way as most have fake provenance and the owners demand silly money I am told.

Just clicked the link. Just so much heartbreaking stuff in there. I would want to go round with a trailer and a blanket and sheapherd it off to safety - think the RSPCA with an abused dog.

Though I may be weird.

The Maser, Dino and Daytona in this pic were on Chasing Classic Cars on the Discovery channel a few weeks ago. All ultra low mileage, they were sold off at auction.

Are you kidding? There is no state of disrepair that a 300SL could fall into to be 'dead'. Even like that it is worth £250K and close to £500K when fully restored, which it will be.

As for the F430, there are thousands of cars, rarer and more special than that sitting around impounds and airport car parks in UAE.

It is a shame, not so much the actual cars but the fact someone else doesnt get the pleasure.

There are millions of nice cars not being used and kept perfectly well, again, shame they dont get driven. My father in law had all sorts but never ever used them preffering modern german diesel things, crying shame but I think people get bored, ill or move on and if you have enough money and space they just sit there.
