Recommend me an album.

Despite never liking it before, and not being a fan in any way, I am finding that I am enjoying listening to some of the well known stuff by Black Sabbath like Paranoid, and also the various tunes that Radio 2 play on the Friday "Mosh".
Do they make "various artists" albums for this type of music? Anyone able to recommend one?

If you like rock music bordering on heavy rock then I highly recommend W.E.T.
Features Jeff Scott Soto and other musicians from Work of Art, Eclipse, & Work of Art (hence 'WET')

Possibly the greatest AOR album I have ever heard. 'If I fall' is quite simply a masterpiece.

Go to planetrock and listen there if you think you might like it. Lots of choice from prog to metal

It may be a little to far for you but you never know.

another vote for planet rock - friday / saturday early evenings cooking with the PR soundtrack...happy days....

Nicky Horne (he used to present American Football on channel 4 you know....) segues nicely into Alice (say it slowly with a deep voice)...

Yes and it still amazes me that Alan 'Fluff' Freeman had a really good rock show on Radio 1 right up until his death if I remember correctly.

Saying that I popped the headphones on at work and listened to PlanetRock following the post above. Thought it was very good and some old tunes/bands brought back some memories.

I remember hearing Saxon and others for the first time in the late 70's on TV's show.Used to tape it every friday night.

I remember he was at donnington in 1988 and he got the audience to shout "Rock! with Tommy Vance" after he said it - it was used on his friday rock show. I've got a FRS recording of the Helloween opening set from that year somewhere and TV back announces it...his voice...unreal....

as a joke once on the Steve Wright in the afternoon show they slowed his voice down...sounded like a Lion roaring...
