After having read numerous threads about the takeover of TVR and its new owner, along with a circulated e mail from Griff2Be, I am left wondering who needs to impress who.Call me old fashioned but as a long term customer with a new car on order I rather feel the new owner of TVR must imppress me and I feel no necessity or inclination to suck up to him.At the end of the day as TVR owners we are all spending our hard earned cash on either new cars or spares and servicing. If the new owner wants our money, it is up to him to impress us.I could live with my current TVR should a new car never be built,He has to make me want another TVR.

Paul - from what I hear from the factory, the changes up there are specifically designed to improve the product and customer service levels. Evidence to date suggests that Nikolai Smolensky is already working to impress TVR's customers.

The racing is a little different - the Tuscan Challenge needs to evolve and change and this may require some investment. He may however decide he doesn't want a TVR one-make series.

I and many others think that would be a terrible shame and my e mail to some of the RO's (which I think is what you are referring to) asks that those who love the series demonstrate their feelings by coming along to the remaining meetings.

Andy- Think he would be extremely foolish not to support the Tuscan Challenge, as I would think for the outlay involved from the factory the returns are very high. After all where else could TVR test out modifications and new ideas in a competitive enviroment and maintain a high product profile, with free national and international TV coverage at the same time.

IMHO his handling of the Tuscan Challenge will be the acid test.If he is a hard nosed businessman he will probably abandon it to cost cutting. If he really wants TVR to suceed he will support it, as it is part of the fibre of company.

I honestly hope he does'nt fall into the adage " knowing the cost of everthing but the value of nothing"

Doesn't look like it. He bought the company, didn't he?
