Immobilised at pub
Discussion
Quick Q as car left me stranded at the pub the other night...
Could someone PM me with the location of the immobiliser in the Cerb. Have no fuel pump
Also on my chim the fuel pump relay did occasionally give out - Any idea where I can find the fuel pump relay in the Cerb? - Damn search not working.
Off to the pub now to try and jury rig her home........
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Gazab,
Thanks.
Happened before a couple of times and battery was not fantastic so literally just replaced it. Hmm, have had starting probs with low volts from battery before, perhaps new battery has got the jolt but not the volts - turns over fine.
Not the silver key as it was lost some time ago.
Just checking out wiring diagram now... Suspect immobiliser.
Thanks.

I'm sure that your fault is different, but mine is with APM at present, with ECU being checked out by MBE. Hope its repairable or big bucks! I lost all power to fuel pump and ignition, though starter worked ,so immobiliser looks favourite on yours. Pump relay is in boot fuse board, brown colour.
I would not say I have fixed it, but it is working.
Suspect:
Wiring from inertia switch through to Pump Earth, sticky/failing pump -(I did almost run out of fuel a few weeks ago).
Intermittent/stuck relay on fuel pump circuit.
Dodgy Inertia Switch
The connections at the relay did what they are supposed to do while the pump was not going so relief that it is not ECU or immobiliser.
I shorted the fuel pump on and it burst into life. Plugged everything back in and off I went.
Going to replace the relay and clean up wiring to pump. If it happens again I know how to get home and can fault find further.
Thanks, Matt
