That Citroen is like a French man's hearse.

Those crazy French. Wise to carry emergency accomodation around with you if you own a Citroen or a Renault though. I like the Clio one, wonder if they made one for the newer shapes whistle

And why does it say "Sportique" on the back? Electrolux maybe.

If it simply bolts on in place of the roof rack and tailgate leaving the base car unmodified it might be useful. I'd thought of making something similar for towing the seven; effectively a glorified roof box with a bed in it.

Conversely if it's a permanent modification it's a disaster.

The Toppola.

I've seen varying version of this on Saabs right up until early 2000 93s.

Pretty much that sort of thing. It would need some sort of cradle to hold it when removed from the car but very useful.

Wow. It's amazing what people think is a good idea at times!!

I have to wonder what has been done to the rear suspension to hold the extra weight. It's either got to be spring assisters or bricks, and neither of those are a good thing!

And toppola? I guess that's what happens when you show it a corner!!

The weight limit for a roof rack is normally about 75kg. A well designed structure should be a lot less than that.

Many years ago there was a custom car mag called Hot Car.

As a yoof in the mid 70s I managed to get a copy that had a customised Transit with a Bond Bug grafted into the roof in familiar fashion, only better IIRC.

For £39k it would have to be. And indeed it is special, and yet not in a way that makes it look worth £39k

I've seen one similar to the OP posted with "Fifer" on tour. Makes me realise my problems aren't as bad as his.
