Hi all,

My chimeara 450 badge is starting to degrade. It seems to have a plastic coasting then a blue film underneath.

This then exposes a metal silver ish badge . What does this silver ish badge look like exposed ?? What's the best way to go. Nervous about replacing full badge incase removal takes some paint with it.

Sounds like one of the Leven badges as the standard ones are just metal and paint. Could be cleaned up and repainted with care.

Don't worry about damaging car paint when you remove it, it's bolted through the body not stuck on.

Just in the process of taking the paint and silver off mine, as it was looking very shabbly and also looked like it had tried to be nicked at some point. I have discovered that they are brass underneath, so got it in some paint thinners to remove all the paint around the lettering and I will polish up the whole thing and see how it looks.
