Hi Mate..I had a right ole palava getting a battery for mine...I ended up getting a mazda battery as i needed a small battery with big amps..It also gave me the option and room for a battery box to be made..

I then found a webbing belt from an old sports bag...

And then cleaned off some paintwork and used some high torque adhesive to stick it down.

I have painted the bit in front of it in case anyone says..Cheers...Ziga

Mine has a wide (about 2") elastic band (I think it might be a piece of seat webbing ?) bolted to bulkhead at one end,and an adjustable hook thing at the other. Hook looks like one of those baby carriage type ones, or perhaps a child restraint one ?

I have a bigger battery than standard too (2.8 DHC) the V8 size ones won't quite go in....

I reckon anything which holds it securely (and remember it's pretty heavy ) will do.

I don't like the metal strap (longitudinal) designs, they can short your battery and cause a fire.

Old seat belt would probably work well too..

Mine sounds similar to RCK's but is only about 1" wide, looks like rubberised canvas with two hooks as said. Mine's been shot since I got the car; I keep meaning to replace it but you know how it is whistle

Tim,

Found several other merchants but your man is currently not advertising.

If you purchased it recently you'll have his contact info in your eBay recent purchase history.

Would be appreciated and I'll drop him a mail.

I have a compact Odyssey battery and I'd like to keep the tray as small as possible.

The £45 ali ones are a little extravagant for me.

Thanks.
