Aston Martin has unveiled the one-off DB9 1M.
Built to celebrate the company's one millionth Facebook fan, the bespoke model was created through a series of polls which asked fans to pick the car's name, design and trim. The end result isn't terribly attractive, but the car features an "Aero" wrap, black brake calipers and 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels.

I quite like it - bear in mind for a million likers on FB, however many went in the poll, it's cost them the price of a fun wrap, that's pretty good advertising! FB isn't just kids, grown ups like to play on it too...

Problem is many that aspire, class AM as "cool" and vote in these polls will never own one.
Take a look back at the recent creations - OTT Chinese specials, Ultimate edition DBS from emptying the options bins, poorly styled Zagota, Marmite Vanquish, Cygnet
They have tunnel vision and are trying too hard to out "bling" the likes of Audi, Ferrari & Lambo
Yes for now the big markets are saloons & SUV's to the Far East & Asia, so why the hell are they coming up with all this tat!
They have the "halo" car in the 1-77 so why bother with wasting time and effort on tat, stick to what they do best and do it better!
Maybe they have forgotten owning an Aston is more about the event of owning it than its bodykit or perfromance

To me one of the very best designs in the last decade. Especially the racing car.
