Of course, the new Noble M600 has so little in common with Nobles of old, it seems to me that this is the right place to post a thread about views of the car.

In terms of performance, it is clearly a level above regular Ferrari's and it seems to sit between these cars and the hyper-cars, Pagani's and the like...

In those terms, the Noble at ( I believe ) £200k ish, seems a bit of a bargain.

It is made of carbon fibre. With a much improved fit and finish it seems . It punches out 650 bhp. It is a proper supercar.

It is also made in England by blokes in a low key, handmade way, in a big shed . I like that idea.

So what do people think of it?

Is the company in good shape? Are they selling any?

I gather they are at the Goodwood festival this weekend, so I plan to go take a look.

Can't afford one right now, but you never know.

I would be interested in the views of the PH collective, with more practical supercar-owning experience than I.

Thanks

There was a previous thread on here a few months back I think on the back of the Evo mag test V the other supercars which makes interesting reading.
Like you I am not in a position to buy but maybe one day who knows.
I like the idea of something world beating made in a shed as it were, If I am ever lucky enough to be in the supercar mkt then if I am spending 200k I would like to take my boy (11) along to spec every detail and make the whole process something special, colour, interior, etc etc, not sure you would get the same kind of sucking up whilst buying a 599 from somewhere like HR Owen and unlikely to get a factory visit to build the car to your spec.
What I am saying is I would want it to feel special, very special.
The problem as I see it is one of resale value, the M12 was raved about back in it's day, dont remember a bad word about it but they are still 1/3 of there value now, M600 different ball game agreed especially in build quality but you can still see some nasty kit car ish interior bits from old.
Only time will tell I guess, but I dont think from memory the build numbers are / will be very many.
I would love one, but instead of something more main stream I dont know.

I would have thought most M600 owners / buyers are more likely to be on this forum than any other.

What do I think of it?

Well I think it looks like an awesome piece of kit...if it was half the price!!! I was chatting about TVRs the other day & the old Noble came up in conversation, we both agreed that what TVR & Noble did very well was making a cheap, fast car. Bearing in mind originally it was about the same sort of price as a BMW M3, but could keep up with (and in some cases beat) a Ferrari. Now for me that is the market they should be aiming at.
I’m sure the M600 sounds fantastic, however I’m sorry it’s more expensive than a new Ferrari or Lamborghini & has a interior that looks straight out a kit car. I think Pagani did so well because they produced a very bespoke, beautifully constructed, fast car. In my opinion that is why they have been so successful.
I wish Noble the very best and hope to be proved wrong and that they will sell 10,000 of these things a year but I would be pretty confident they won’t.

I've just spent four days with a friend and his M600 and I have to say it shattered any preconceptions I had. We've been tooling through France and have done 1000 miles in four days. Last year he had the factory demonstrator but this year it was a proper customer car. The finish is simply superb and the noise, oh the noise. Very very nice car in my opinion. I wasn't a big fan of the old style of Noble but this is in an altogher different league. So far I think there are only 5 customer cars.......and a bit of a waiting list.

This one was at the P1 International and it caused a bit of a stir.. First one i have seen up close (there was one at Goodwood last year) and i have to say it does look impressive.

Im still not 100% on the pricetag as i dont think im alone in thinking "£200k for a Noble ! " but it is a different breed compared to Noble's of old.

As others have said, fantastic car, but who is going to spend 200k on one when they can have a Ferrari or McLaren instead? It's a very hard market to break into.

If they hadn't built the earlier, less expensive cars, would the asking price on this be questioned so much? All reports so far seem to praise it, nothing negative I've seen and it sounds like a good old-fashioned supercar to me. With decently specced Gallardos and 458s coming in above the £200k mark, surely something like this is "good value"? 220k is a lot of money no matter what you are buying, but I'd go with this for 3 reasons.

1. If the drive is as good as is being reported (modern day F40).
2. Rarity.
3. British.

I wasn't a fan of the looks initially, still not convinced by the front end, but it does look better and better each time I see it.

Having been in it I can see a good number of people wanting to own one. I'm used to fast cars but this thing is something else!

Cheers. Is that because they didn't produce or sell the M15. I went to a dealer preview/launch of it, but apart from that one car, I havn't seen any others at all, or heard of any either!!!

So was it a case of back to the drawing board and hense now we have the M600?

Cheers,

As much as there is an argument that the some people wouldn't choose an M600 because for a bit less money one could have a Ferrari or Lambo, surely there are sufficient numbers who would rather have an M600 because it's more unique and exclusive than the Italians?

I have spent a lot of time in this car . Been to the factory etc etc .
The car does drive great and is very fast but it's not for me . The interior is just too hideous , who decided a toilet plunger would make a good gear stick for God sake ?
It doesn't have the heritage or name ( even looks ) for a 230 k special occaison car and for pure track use I'd buy a cup car for a third of the price . It kind of fits in no mans land . If it was better looking and the engineering more special you could almost justify it . Unfortunately as it is it's a 100 grand car being sold for way too much money .
I believe the established brands would get most people's cash at this price , that's why they have only sold about 7 cars .
I wish them well but suspect they are doomed to fail .

If I had £200k to blow, Noble would get my money over McLaren, Ferrari or Lamborghini.

I don't understand some of the comments levelled at the interior. Yes, the column stalks and maybe the air vents look a bit cheap, but I think overall it looks fine. In my eyes, it looks much better than the interior of an Aventador, which is also more expensive.

Honestly mate the interior is dreadful .
Horrible design , mismatched buttons and terrible ergonomics . It just feels not as well engineered . I hate to say this but Audi probably spend more on the aventadors door release than noble did on the whole interior (r and d I mean ) . Unfortunately it shows . Plus what the hell is that halfords stereo all about . There's just no cohesion to the design .
Btw it's over 200 k . I think there's only a 12 month warranty , it just is behind the curve .
Even the exterior just looks , not right . It's a pity .
The warranty issue is a concern too . The impression I got was after the warranty " we'd still look after you " . I'm sorry that's not good enough , you don't believe in your car why should I ?
Also who says they will be here in 2 years time if I need work doing ? There's too many unknowns for me to risk 230 grand .
The sad thing is I loved the drive .

Really? £200k for a hand built 200mph supercar with astonishing driveability and acceleration. Hand laid carbon fibre body using proven mechanical components.
Look beyond the badge at what you actually get for the money. Everything else suddenly becomes over priced chintz, especially if you are a real driver and know what to do with your left leg. That to my eyes is what this car is all about, driving and doing it yourself.
Lets hope the rest of these 4 wheeled Playstations don't reduce real transmission to history once and for all.
If you have the money, buy one and keep it alive.
