New wheel centre caps

I've just received a new set of wheel centre caps. Is there a trick to removing the ones currently in place or have I got to take the wheels off and push them out from the back?

I'm 99% sure you can just stab them with a screwdriver and pull them out that way.

Some have 2 small holes that you can get off with 2 pieces of bent wire, otherwise wheels off may be better than prizing out!

If you are going to bin the old ones, you could use a self-tapping screw to provide a yanking out point.
