Spa F1 - camping experiences vs Le Mans

I missed Le Mans this year due to arrival of first baby 6 weeks prior to the event. Am thinking of a visit to Spa for the F1 to get me through until next year's LM fix, but reading some scare stories about the number and scale of the euro-pop / techno parties our European cousins enjoy all weekend.
Is this just from F1 fans who aren't used to it, or is the partying on a more serious level than at Le Mans? For reference, we normally camp on Houx or the annexe and don't get me wrong, we enjoy the atmosphere, but come about 1 or 2am on non-race days, are usually ready for some kip, which is normally possible unless you are pretty unlucky in terms of who else is within earshot.

I've camped at Le man, but not actually at the circuit.
But I have camped for the spa gp. It was in the little town at the top of the hill if you walk straight up from the first hairpin. It was the main hub of camping.
I think the cows had literally just been moved out the field before it was used for camping. It didn't stop raining, and pictures of WW1 no-mans land in the trenches just about summed up the scene.
With the 24hr fireworks providing the artillery background noise.
There were some epic campsite/nightclub set ups. I'm talking actual mid size lorry loads of lighting rigs, dj decks the lot.
Our neighbours had an entertaining trailer which was an engine with wheels, temporary radiator and fuel tank. No exhaust, but did provide lots of noise throughout the night. And their milk churn which was converted into a football firing cannon.
It rained from Thursday to Sunday, it was noisy, the toilets were shocking, there were no showers.
But, it was brilliant. A great race and the experience of it wouldn't have been half as good had i been in a hotel. Comfortable yes, but missing out.
I haven't been back, but if i went to a GP again, It would be spa. Enjoy.

As with Le Mans, it depends what campsite you're in. We camped in the hotel at the top of the hill, among the static caravans. To be honest it was a bit dead, I wished we'd not bothered to book in advance and just turned up to get into the campsite near the top end of the circuit.
