Went to get the car out this evening as I'm heading to GFoS early tomorrow morning.

On the way home the fans cut in at about 80 on the temp gauge. Then they stayed on. Temp didn't rise at all but fans didn't cut out.
At home I left the car running and the temp stayed at a steady 85 at idle. Fans stayed on.

Turned engine off and the ignition on, fans finally cut out at about 70.

Car doesn't seem to be over heating.

Help !!

Just to add, car has a manual fan over ride switch under dash. Also, had a new head unit fitted Monday , not sure if there's any wiring behind stereo in dash that could have been knocked. Just a thought.

All sorted cheers guys. The connector plugs on one of the fans had shorted, a very nice man from the AA came out, checked the cooling system and found a dodgy connection which was shorting. Otter switch seemed to be fine, first thing he checked. Seem to know TVRs reasonably well too.

Bed time now. Early start at 4am tomorrow.
