Leafing through the latest edition, it advises against the RRS as it had.......'more faults per vehicle than any other (4 x 4 I assume) vehicle in our 2012 survey'.

It recommends the BMW X1 ...........I'd like to see that with 2 tonnes of trailer on the back in a field!

Blimey, makes you question Which?'s credibility if they give advice like that!

I have got to say that i have had 3 RRS and there are a lot of annoying cosmetic faults that really should be addressed

Not really, most of their advise is shocking and usually somewhere between pointless, ludicrous and totally inaccurate. But in fairness most of the motoring media and media at large seem just as guilty.

It's like all this stuff really, no headlines in good news. I've an early Sport 2.7 HSE, slated by many but works for me and now at 75000 miles, I'm in no rush to change. Can't think of a better motor for how we use it at this kind of value. It's had the odd moments of madness but many more times where it has been utterly brilliant and IMHO, the best place for my family to be when the going gets nasty!

Mind you, if you rely on a magazine to tell you which £30 toaster to buy.......
