I've been after a DAB radio/alarm clock for a while now and whilst I was perusing around the local Waitrose at lunchtime I saw that they are selling the Evoke-1S for £78, which is a bit cheaper than Amazon. My question is though, are they any good? I've read some of the reviews online and they're either very good or awful.... Has anyone on here got one?

Thanks in advance,

Rich

I have a Pure Siesta alarm clock/radio and it's very good, DAB reception is great, sound is good considering the size.

I have a Pure Avanti Flow in the kitchen/diner and it is brilliant.

My next door neighbour has a Pure Evoke and he loves it (actually he recommended Pure to me and I chose the Avanti).

It's a good price!

The price attracted me to it actually, but I'm not sure if the display will be a bit too small if I'm using it as an alarm clock. I have my current alarm clock on my desk which is the other side of the room to my bed.

had the Evoke for about 5 years. Brilliant. Recently died, and will be replaced with similar.

Does it have a clock on the display when it's in sleep mode at all?

My one does and I'm pretty sure the Evoke does, yes.

Sorry, don't know. We used it as a tranny in the kitchen so just switched it on or off.

I've just bought one and can confirm that it does have a clock on it in standby mode. I've only had chance to have a quick play about with it as I'm at work but the sound and build quality seem pretty good. All in all a good buy for the money me thinks!

Thanks to everyone who posted for their input! smile
