Where the little metal rod pushes through into the receiver on the hard top , I get a rattle.
I have found the rest of the roof noises and got them quiet with silicone spray.
This is a metal noise , as it is two metal parts rattling together.

Anyone cured this made it better please?

The female ends that are bolted to the roof can be adjusted/moved so that when you push the levers in the boot, it should be pulling the roof down towards the car, and maintaining a bit of pressure. This should sort the rattling smile

Thanks for this tip, had never realised the female ends could be adjusted.

My roof has always been a little loose at the fixing point behind the driver's head. Not massively so, but enough for it to have a bit of movement. I had always assumed I needed to make adjustments to the male end which I understand to be a bit of a difficult job, which is why I've put if off for so long. However, after peeling back a bit of rubber on the underside of the roof I noticed that the two bolts holding the female end in place were a bit loose. After tightening them up the roof is totally solid all round and absolutely silent when driving around. Very happy! smile
