Thought I had a stuck actuator since last week, maybe even a ecu problem, turns out I've got a 2 1/2" hole in the end tank of my intercooler. SMART!!

It's there because I'm running 23 psi. Lol, got a picture but took it to my fab shop and called in a favour. Fixed!

I have seen this before on a noble. The rear chassis either side of the intercooler twists and the load is passed into the intercooler that then cracks. Is the imtercooler rubber mounted?

It's not mounted on rubber, but it doesn't look like twisting has caused this, it's heat related as far as I can see.

Bit disappointing Graham , is there a boost limit for the pro alloy inter cooler ???

it looks like stress fatigue to me

i don't think 23psi is enough to split aluminium

I'm sure if you had a chat with Wayne or Alex at Proalloy they would sort it out very quickly,

Hi Graham, the very same thing happened to mine, I sent it back to them and they re welded it and strengthened the other seems, not had any probs since.
