The mechanic snapped my throttle cable whilst doing it! Oh the fun. So car if left at garage and I need to go back Monday to fix it by the side of the garage. Much better it going there than a rainy windswept M6 tho.

If the mechanic snapped the cable shouldn't he fix it rather than you? (unless there is a good reason why it broke that is down to you?)

Well the cable was well frayed so it would have gone anyway. It wasn't anything he did wrong really like force the accelerator to the floor or anything. I did think a quick fix to get me home might have been good but he was shutting up as I was last mot of the day.
I'm just happy with another 12 months motoring right now!
