Owned a 42 inch Panasonic Viera for the past 3 years but which has been lost to my housemate who's just moved out.

Looking for an opinion on what's a good option to go with, budget around 700 quid, would like a 42 inch or larger tv to watch f1 and that's about it. Ideas appreciatedsmile

So you owned the TV, but your flatmate moved out and took it with him?

WTF?

Cheers! 50 might be a tad too large for my room. Is it worth going for 3D at my budget or is it too much a compromise in terms of 2d quality.

Flat mate didnt quite just take it, he left 190 quid towards a new one...think he got the better deal!

I bought a 42 Panasonic Plasma a couple of months back, had some money off in Currys and it cost about £450.

Bought my dad a 43 inch Samsung plasma for 350 pounds. Great telly. I have the same model in a 51, and I can't fault it, even that was 600
