A huge round of thanks & a few pics
Discussion
Hi all!
Just a quick round of thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome and not taking the mickey out of the lack of front number plate on my car or making me park in the "Rat-car" section!
Having only owned my wedge for 5 weeks, I wasn't sure whether it would "cut the mustard" but everyone had great things to say about it and it's definitely spurred me on to do more and still keep driving it.
It'll be better being driven, as soon as I get another front number plate made up, honest officer, it fell off on the way to the fest!
I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves as much as I did?
The ride out was the first time that my car's been driven in a spirited fashion for quite a few years, yet still held it's own, without breaking down or spewing clouds of smoke and gunk all down the road and at the same time it didn't put me in a ditch on any of the corners, a very definite bonus.
The other bonus was that it did the 200 mile round trip with absolutely no problems at all
See you all at the BNG in Wetherby and catch up with you all on here soon.
Cheers and thanks once again to everyone who organised a great Fest!

Here's a few pics that I took during the day.

Nice to meet you yesterday Mark and glad you enjoyed it all
Good to hear you are planning on joining us for the BNG as mentioned
I hope there will be a good turnout of Wedgers
Will be good to see your car there with a front number plate.
Wayne (Mr WST) and myself had a spirited join onto the M69 on the way home
and luckily we spotted a Police car who then passed us
and had a sign in the back window that signalled "Slow down, 70 limit"!!!!!!
Hope to see you again soon Mark
Cheers

Thanks guys!
Assuming the cars alright, I'll definitely be at the BNG!
It was great meeting each and every one of you at the Fest, I look forward to seeing lots more of you all and catching up on here as and when I need help, which I'm sure will be more often than not!
Lots more to be done to the car, but I think that as it drives, and as most of you have said it looks alright, I'll just enjoy it for the summer and lay it up and do it over the winter.
Cheers for now and enjoy any drives you have in your cars.
