I recently bought a pick up truck from my step father, he bought it brand new from mitsubishi they fitted a tow bar to it from new, and serviced it for the entire time he owned it.
Now for the bodge, or complete ineptness of some "vehicle technician"
The bolts they used to secure the ball hitch to the tow bar were far to short infact the bolts only went half way through the nuts, so for the last 3 years this vehicle has been used to tow heavy plant etc, with a ill fitted tow bar
It beggers belief or equally a testament to a over engineered design.
needless to say it does nothing but reinforce my general poor view of main dealers.
on a lighter note back in the days of youthfulness a friend used a plastic drain pipe as a temporary exhaust on his trusty triumph needless to say it did not last long
