Title covers it really. thinking of three days camping.

What's the atmosphere like, do many people camp ? Is it worth it ?

I'm camping at Whittlebury again this year, it's normally pretty quiet but very friendly.

What sort of atmosphere are you looking for?

£40 per person regardless of nights taken.

Is that the sound of urine extraction I hear?

Still worth it if you're staying four nights I guess

Just a friendly not too noisy but not dull campsite. Will look Whittlebury up.

On top of the £80 entry ticket too. I'm doing a track day on Sat and hoped then then go down to Silv for Saturday night and the bands and camp over and watch the racing on Sunday but £120 is a little steep for that pleasure.

I'll be camping at Litchlake...far closer than Whittlebury.

Agree with Litchlake , you can drink your fill at the concert and walk back no probs , also has a small wagon selling hot food in the evenings if you just can't be bothered to cook , job done.

I've always enjoyed camping at Whittlebury. It's a bit further walk than Litchlake but there are some nice pitches near the lake. Nice chilled family atmosphere too.

So close to booking, rang Silverstone today they said there is a field unused during the GP which is ok not water logged. Just keeping my eye on the weather.

Have a look at dadford road , £30 for 2 adults thurs-mon or £15 if you just stay sat night.

No showers for the classic or food but the golf course is next door for food or drive into the village. Stayed there for the gp and we only paid £60 weds-mon and had much larger pitches than woodlands and dadford coped much better with the mud, we drove on site weds and drove off sunday no need to be towed out.

Few more questions.

How much room can you have ?

Can you camp where you want or are you told where to go ?

Can we use a small generator ?

Does my bum look big in these jeans ?

Thanks

Based on last weeks gp:

There were no marked pitches
People used generators but seemed to turn them off around midnight
1st field was noisy field, bottom field was quiet field no music after 9pm
showers won't be open for the classic but if your only staying sat night not a problem, no food onsite but golf club is next door and silverstone village is just up the road.
Oh yeah there's a proper road running down the length of the two fields, had no probs last week getting on site or off sunday evening.

Oh yeah the prices above include 2 children too if there going.

No showers? There always have been in previous years (not that I've ever used them).

There's usually food in the bar too.
